Besides me, that is. Tim Taylor notes that the Congressional Budget Office has released its annual report on who pays taxes: rich and poor, 99% and 1%, income tax and other taxes — you name it, we now have the data through 2009.
I won’t comment — the numbers speak for themselves — but start at page 8 of the pdf and look at the figures. Tell me which ones you find the most interesting.
Update (Jul 20): The CBO report has generated lots of discussion about how to represent the numbers. A good example is Steve Landsburg‘s figure based on numbers from Greg Mankiw.
