NYU students raise deficit awareness

February 26, 2013

One of the great things about teaching is that there’s always something new going on.  The latest example:  several of our students are doing videos about fiscal issues.  They’ve joined “Up to Us,” a competition among student groups to spread the word about debt and deficits — and highlight the quality and initiative of NYU students at the same time.

The students are led by Sharon Chen and include “core members” Susan Wang, Jared Schulman, Andy Margulies, and Luke Shearin.  Luke sent me links to video interviews with (among others) Joe Foudy, Jonathan Haidt, Roy Smith, and Larry White.  See here for a complete list. I speak for all of my colleagues in saying we’re delighted to see such good work by the home team.

As usual, you are being too modest. A link to the Backus interview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Xn_A78wRNs
