While the rest of us follow the global economy, our colleague Kim Schoenholtz follows the planets and stars. He sends this news about live coverage of the “transit of Venus”:
NASA Television will air a live program starting at 5:30 p.m. EDT Tuesday, June 5, showcasing the celestial phenomenon of the planet Venus trekking across the face of the sun. The rare event, known as the Venus Transit, will not occur again until 2117.
For more, see the NASA press release. Kim assures us we won’t miss any of the action in Europe, which is guaranteed to continue through the transit and beyond.
